Transforming our Fear

Ever wonder why it’s very hard for one to go forward? Everyone wants to achieve their goals, everyone wants to succeed – everyone wants a happy ending. But why is it so hard to achieve something? Why do we always seem to find ourselves thinking it’s impossible to win?

At times when the issue gets difficult, we turn our backs, thinking the journey is simply impossible. We become afraid and retreat. Why? There would be a solid answer.

Fear.

Every time I’m set on a journey, ‘fear’ tends to invade me. I let fear conquer me; hence I tend to fail achieving certain thing.
  • Fear of being rejected
  • Fear of failing
  • Fear of starting something new
  • Fear of letting go certain things
  • Fear of being alone

Everyone has fear, no matter how brave the person may seem – everyone is a little scared.
It’s okay to feel a bit scared. Fear is a vital response to physical and emotional danger – if we don’t feel it, we won’t protect ourselves from any sorts of threat. We face our fear and learn to overcome it, and when we do so, we are better than we were before. We have evolved.
But that’s the big question isn’t it. How?

How do you overcome your fear?

Fear is just an emotion, it’s simple to conjure and it’s easy to transform it to something else. Simply conjure your fear and transform it to self-confidence.
When in fear of being rejected, ask yourself, “Why would they reject me?” “What do I lack of?” find the solution, be confident and fix it. This would be self-improving, and thus were one step ahead in achieving our goals.

We have to start believing that we are capable of many things, start changing your mind-set of “I can’t do this” to “I can do this”. When we constantly tell ourselves what we can achieve, we’ll start to believe in ourselves.
“Believe in yourself! Have fate in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy.” – Norman Vincent Peale
It’s perfectly normal to be afraid, and it’s also normal to believe in ourselves. Stop self-doubting and start having more faith.
Our lives are in our hands, and we have the power to control it, so don’t let ‘Fear’ have the authority.
